Homeschooling can often feel especially challenging during the winter months. Our self-care often gets tossed out the window, it’s common to lose our motivation, and we run the risk of burning out. It’s critical that we have plenty of support and action plan for how to survive homeschooling this winter!

Quick note: For my friends in the southern hemisphere, I realize you’re experiencing summer this time of year, so feel free to bookmark this post when your winter rolls around.

December Homeschooling – Some fun ways to homeschool this December include celebrating the winter solstice, learning about a tradition other than your own, having a family movie night, enjoying twinkle lights, and, wait for it… practicing saying NO!

January Homeschooling – Let’s figure out how to embrace winter, prioritize sleep (in realistic ways!), enjoy staying home, learning about Hygge (sounds like “hoo-guh”), and spend a little one-on-one time with your child (or children)!
